What is airforce good conduct medal?

The Air Force Good Conduct Medal (AFGCM) is a decoration awarded by the United States Air Force to enlisted members who have exhibited good behavior, efficiency, and fidelity. The medal was first established in 1963 and may be awarded to members who have served in the Air Force for at least three years, with no disciplinary actions taken against them.

The AFGCM recognizes service performed while in the Active Air Force, Air Force Reserve, or Air National Guard. It is awarded on a selective basis and is not automatically given to every eligible member. In order to receive the medal, members must show exemplary conduct, honor, and courage throughout their military career.

The AFGCM is a ribbon with a silver oak leaf cluster for each additional award. It can be worn as a service ribbon or as a medal on dress uniforms. Along with recognizing good conduct, the medal also promotes morale and motivation among Air Force personnel.
